Dot Cordle - Chair of Trustees

Born and educated in Suffolk Dot Cordle  became a Registered Nurse. She worked in a range of clinical environments in acute hospitals in Leicester and Leeds before returning to Suffolk to train as a Health Visitor and specialise in Community Paediatric work.


Dot progressed into management of clinical specialist teams in adult and children’s services, culminating in Head of Children and Family Services in Suffolk until her retirement after 37 years service.


Dot obtained a number of qualifications:

Registered General Nurse, Registered Health Visitor, Nurse Prescriber, Diploma in Management Studies, Certificate in Management Studies. She has extensive skills and experience in both operational, clinical and management.

Dot has always had a passion for working with and supporting children and families in order that their full potential might be reached, hence her current involvement of working with Ipswich 4 Family.

Jan Baker - Coordinator

Jan Baker is a retired registered nurse who did her nurse training in Ipswich, Suffolk . She has had a 35 year career working for the NHS including as a District Nurse and a Nurse Practitioner in General Practice in Essex. 


Jan specialized in Diabetes and in 2010 won an award for improving diabetes health care in a socially deprived area. 

Jan has as a number of qualifications including :
Registered General Nurse, DN Cert , Nurse Prescriber , Diploma in Diabetes , Bradford . Associate Clinical Teacher in Education & Development, Warwick Medical School 2011


Jan has been working with Ipswich4family since 2013 as Coordinator. Her passion is to support families to make small changes that lead to big changes and bring hope to chaotic lives.

Gettimg help

Ipswich 4 Family is open to referrals from any community and statutory agency, churches, GP, school etc. to work with families 

Ipswich 4 Family Link Workers are trained to assess each family referred to them and to liaise with statutory groups, and to signpost families to ther services as appropriate.
